Green Acres MAC and YT International
26th 27th July 2008

Have come together again to give flyers from the West Midlands and the UK one of the best Fly Ins this year.

All flyers visitors and families are welcome and admission to the field is free. There will be a BBQ and entertainment on Friday/Saturday night for our pilots, campers, volunteers and guests.

See last years event

Campers are welcome, we ask for a donation and we request you please book ahead of time to guarantee a space. All traders are welcome, again we request that you let us know you are coming.

If you intend to fly please see some of our conditions below.
We expect a number of
Traders to attend in addition to YT International.

(NB. If you’re a camper or trader please call to book your pitch). or use

More details:

Location postcode for Sat-Navs etc: WS9 0QQ see here

The "Fly-In" entrance will be from Bosty Lane. See Locations for other links and more maps etc.

Jets are welcome.

The strip will be a long grass runway and will be close mowed regularly before the show.
We have a shiny new club mower so the strip should be in tip top short cut condition. Anyone wishing to help with this contact Pete Davis or Jez (see below).

Flying will start 10am Sat/Sun, following the pilots briefing at 9.45am. The end of flying will depend on the weather, but it should be 5pm. This maybe subject to change.

There will be a series of prizes for best pilots etc.

Camping/caravanning will be allowed on site after 5pm on Friday. On arrival see a Marshall or the Event Director to direct you to your pitch. We will be asking for a donation.

Trade is welcome and we have a number pencilled in already.

Conditions:

ANYTHING MAY FLY not just YT models. This includes Electric and IC, large or small. ANY MAKE of model that is RC may fly on 35MHz or 2.4GHz. All planes must have been test flown before and pilots will have to confirm all planes flown by them have sound structural & electrical integrity.

Pilots must have a minimum of BMFA 'A' cert. (or higher) to fly solo and a current BMFA insurance certificate. (Evidence will be requested on booking in). All transmitters are to be booked in at transmitter control - £3 per frequency or £3 2.4Ghz per transmitter.

Although we have a first come first served policy for best caravan pitch there should be more than enough space to accommodate trade and campers. It would be helpful to us if you could pre book your stay overnight/weekend and booking a place prior to arriving will guarantee you a space (we would hate to have to turn you away if we get too many campers).

Flying will be allowed after the show has been set up on the Friday from the show strip. NOTE: permission to fly needs to be granted by the acting Flight Line Marshal or Event Director. Please contact Pete Davis For set up Details.07934 062231

If the weather requires us to cancel or abandon the event a note will be posted on this web site. So please visit here or call us for an up date.

Quote from YT:-

"it is an open fly in, sponsored by YT,
Naturally, we hope many YT models, past and present will be turning up, but it is NOT limited to our models only,   we will be doing plenty of display flying with YT products, and the latest kits will be on show, all weekend camping will be available, for a donation, and there is space-a-plenty,
Refreshments will be available,  and guest pilots will be invited for demos, etc,   we are hoping this will be a well attended event,  only monetary contribution, will be on registering your tranny,  ALL this money will be going to club funds,   for they will be bending over backwards, to make the event a success,   SPECTATORS ARE WELCOME"
